Brides and Grooms often ask us some great questions about our services and about videography in general. Hopefully we can help answer some of those right here:
How do we book videography services for our date?
Fill out the form on the Contact Us page, shoot us an email, or give us a call! We will respond right away to let you know if your date is available and set up a meeting.
Why don't you post all prices on your website? We are just comparing prices.
We find that the couples just looking for the lowest price, or even a number, arent neccessarily the best fit for our customized product. We certainly understand budgets, but when a family contacts us excited about the quality of our work and the moments they see we capture, it allows us to get to know each other. The more we know about the personalities and wedding plans of our couples, the more personalized your wedding film is. And at that point, your wedding video is priceless. After a short 15 minute phone call or in studio meeting, we LOVE to go over our offerings and prices once we know each other a little bit.
Whys is your final product only 15-30 minutes long when you will be at my wedding for 6-8 hours?
We understand you may feel you are missing out on a lot of what we captured from your wedding day. But nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of sending you a boring 2-3 hour wedding video (think of the stereotype that may be holding you back), we take ALL the perfect moments large and small from your wedding, as well as details you may have missed and truly create a film of your day. Audio is huge for us too, so your toasts, vows and message at the ceremony is vital in telling your wedding day story. You do have the option of purchasing ALL the footage we come away with on a separate hard drive but the best analogy is this:
Hollywood spends 9-12 months to film and prepare for a 1.5-2 hour feature length film. Imagine ALL that footage they whittle down to create a compelling story, thats entertaining and convenient to watch. We do the same thing! Only we only have hours to make the magic happen. No second takes at a wedding!
I LOVE your samples, are these FULL wedding films and what mine will look like?
Yes, all the samples on our site are actual videos our families have received. Most of them are Coming Soon Trailers that can be added to any package or come with some of our packages. We have also included a couple FULL wedding FILMS on the Theatre Room page. We will be glad to provide additional examples of FULL length Films, just shoot us an email! We encourage you NOT to book with other videographers you may be comparing us to until you see full videos of theirs as well. Even if you decide you like theirs better, at least you picked the right one for you instead of guessing or basing it just on price.
What will my final DVD look like?
All of our DVDs come with a fully customized menu. Pictures from your wedding day, your wedding colors, and your name and date will all be incorporated into your menu. Your DVD will also include Chapter Menus and a Special Features Menu. Our custom menus allow you to watch your DVD the whole way through, or choose a particular section to jump to. Any enhancements will also be included on the Special Features menu of your DVD. Your DVD will arrive with a personalized case and label as well.
Do you shoot in High Definition?
Yes, all of our packages include High Definition. There are many options for delivery of your wedding in HD, including BluRay. Contact us for any questions/details.
What areas does In Motion cover? Will you travel?
In Motion has offices in Jacksonville, FL and Tampa, FL. We cover all surrounding areas for both cities. Our Tampa coverage area includes St. Pete, Clearwater, Tampa, Land O'Lakes, and Lakeland. Our Jacksonville coverage area includes St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, and Amelia Island. If your wedding is outside the local or surrounding areas we would love to work with you and we welcome the opportunity to travel. Please email us for a custom travel quote.
Do we need to meet with you in person prior to our wedding day?
We would certainly love to meet you in person before your wedding day. However if this is not possible due to location or time restraints, we can take care of everything over the phone, via video chat and through e-mail.
I am afraid of feeling overwhelmed on my wedding day- what is your videography style?
Our goal the day of the wedding is simply to be an observer, and to help you re-live your day as though you were there experiencing it and watching it unfold. We will never put the camera in your face and ask you to speak on the spot, however if you and your family members are comfortable interacting with the camera you are more than welcome to.
We have a photographer as well. Do you work well with Photographers?
No offense, but we do NOT want to be in your wedding pictures. :) Therefore, we make it a point to call your photographer the week before your wedding if we haven't worked with them before. This always allows us to ease the tensions that some photographers feel, and also establish a team effort mentality with the ones that understand this is your day. Hopefully the photographers honor your wedding day enough to do the same for your video! Honestly, we have found that when we love the personalities and style of our couples, they choose a photographer that represents that as well! Win win!
What happens to our footage after the wedding?
We keep an archive of all your files after the wedding. If you would like to purchase additional copies just let us know. You have up to 1 year to purchase your raw footage.
Do you count your travel as part of the time included in our package?
No, we do not count the time it takes us to travel to the first location on your wedding day as part of your time. If you have multiple locations, the time between two locations does count as part of your time.
How far do you travel and will it cost us extra?
We travel all over the world! In addition to filming weddings all over US from coast to coast, we love to travel. So we will go wherever you'll have us! We simply provide a custom package built specifically for your event so that once the wedding day has passed, all expenses are paid and you can relax!
How long before the ceremony do you usually arrive on site?
Our collections include anywhere from 6-10 hours of coverage, and it is up to you how you would like to use that time. Some couples prefer more pre-ceremony footage, whereas others would like us to capture all of their reception including their sendoff. The choice is up to you. Typically though we will arrive where you are getting ready about an hour and a half prior to the ceremony, and then our time runs continuous from that point on.
Where will your cameras be set up at the ceremony?
Every location is different, so we will choose the best position for our cameras when we set up. Generally we place one camera toward the back of the ceremony site, and one camera will be located somewhere toward the front and off to the side. This way we have two different shots to choose from in editing, and we are sure to not miss a thing.
Do I get to choose my own music, or will you pick it for me?
Please contact us for additional information on music selection for your Film.
How long will it take to receive our final DVD?
Editing usually takes around 6 months. Our wedding films require careful attention, and this time estimate is just an approximation. Time may vary depending on the date of your wedding. If a teaser video is included in your collection we will post it on our website within 4 weeks. This way you already have something to watch and share with friends and family while we complete the final DVD.
